About WIFS

As the preeminent professional organization for women in the financial services industry, Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS) is dedicated to attracting capable women to the financial services sector, helping them develop their talents and advancing them toward their fullest potential.

WIFS offers innovative programs and delivers benefits according to the expressed needs of its membership, which consists primarily of financial advisors, agents, representatives, CPAs and attorneys. Providing excellent service to clients is the common goal that unites us.

For all members, WIFS offers free monthly webinars on a variety of business-related and professional development topics. The emphasis is on growing a successful and thriving business, whether you’re new to the financial services industry or have many years of experience under your belt.

WIFS Members
There are currently over 1,200 WIFS members nationwide, three quarters of which have 10+ years of business experience and earn $75K or more annually. All members belong to the national organization, and where there are regional chapters, members can choose to belong to those groups as well.  Over 30 regional chapters are now active in 25 states. Local chapters host speakers, networking events, business development workshops, and a variety of other events all year long. Given enough local interest and a few enthusiastic individuals willing to lead, anyone can use WIFS’ established chapter development plan to get a group up and running in their market.

Corporate Partners
WIFS receives support from nationally-recognized corporate partners who are dedicated to the success of women in the financial sector. 2010 Corporate Partners include MassMutual, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Guardian, Northwestern Mutual, Prudential, New York Life, and Transamerica.  Our partners provide a 50% membership subsidy for their associates who join WIFS. 

Annual National Conference
Each year, WIFS hosts a high-energy national conference featuring professional development sessions, industry education, world class speakers, an awards ceremony, and countless networking opportunities. WIFS uses this annual event to recognize outstanding members and top producers at an exciting awards gala. This is a conference not to be missed!
